Alto - Funeral services for Evelyn Bice, 85, of Alto will be Friday November 11th at 2pm at the Alto Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Bruce Robinson and Bro. Odis Bryan officiating. Burial will follow at Lynches Chapel Cemetery. Mrs. Bice died Tuesday in Alto. She was born October 18th, 1931 in Pitkin, Louisiana to Marvin and Barbara Ellen Johnson West. She was a resident of Alto for 40 years and a member of the Eastern Star for 50 years. She is preceded in death by her Parents, Daughter Bonita McDonald, Son Larry Bice, Step Daughter Sandra Ruff, and Step Son Robert Bice. She is survived by her Husband Herdis Bice of Alto, Texas; Daughters and Son-in-law Sharon and Mike Carter of Alto, Texas; Sue Cathey of Lake Charles, Louisiana; Daughter-in-law Kathy and Jerry Lewis of Rusk, Texas; Grandchildren Patricia Fridelle, Michelle Manning, Melanie Kaplan, Melody Cross, Jennifer Carter, Jake Carter, Samantha Lawrence, Brent Lawrence, Suzanna Cathey-Ford, John Cathey, Krystal DeBarge, Lisa Wells, and Robert Bice; Numerous Great Grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Brent Lawrence, Jake Carter, Cody Carter, Josh Sanders, Bryan Cross, and Michael Manning. Visitation will be held Thursday night from 6-8pm at the funeral home in Alto.
