Eva Rae Landrum Nance went home to be with her Lord and Savior on September 29, 2023. She was born in Alto Texas, April 10, 1929 to Roxie and Bob Landrum. Eva was the youngest of ten children.

She was 94 years 5 months and 19 days old. She is preceded in death by her husband Finis Calvin (F.C.) Nance, her mother and father, 7 brothers and 2 sisters. She is survived by her son Paul Nance and wife Paige, daughter Lydia Nance, and son Scott Nance. Her four grandchildren, Derek Nance, Jack Lamberth and fiancé Alexa, Brooke Nance and Trevor Nance and wife Alesa. Her Great-Granddaughter, Norah Nance. Also, by many nieces and nephews.

Eva married the love of her life on April 16, 1948, and that marriage lasted 68 ½ years until his death in 2016.  Once married, they moved to Houston where they lived until 1984. Once Finis retired, they moved back home to East Texas, where they both had both grown up, and settled in Alto. They attended church and enjoyed many years of happiness together here with family and friends close by and children and grandchildren visiting often.

Our mom, Eva had a dry and quirky sense of humor which we all enjoyed. She loved all of her family fiercely, but her children were the light of her world.

She had a green thumb and many beautiful flowers every spring and summer, as well as a big garden full of vegetables.  She loved to make fig preserves and canning tomatoes.  She had a beautiful voice and loved to sing at church or with her siblings.

She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and will be missed by each of us more than words can ever express.
