Memorial services for Ernestine Blakemore, 63, of Alto will be Saturday, January 18th at 11 am at the New Hope Baptist Church in Alto. Ernestine passed away Sunday, January 12, 2020, in Tyler. She was born June 15, 1956 in Rusk, Texas to L.C. Morgan and Ola Mae Singletary Morgan. Ernestine lived most of her life in Alto and was a member of the St. Thomas Chapel A.M.E. church. She had worked for 17 years at the Rusk State Hospital and also worked at Alto Care Center and Oak Park Nursing Home. Ernestine was preceded in death by mother Ola Mae Morrison, fathers L.C. Morgan and Teal Hamilton, brothers and sister-in-law Jessie Morgan, Charles Griffin and wife Gladys, Terry Morrison and sister Sandra Wade. She is survived by husband Lester Blakemore, daughter Shalonda Morrison, son Adrian Blakemore, granddaughter Jade Morrison, sisters Ann Morgan, Debra Sue Christopher (Jerry), Vanessa Morrison, Kendra Williams (Jeffrey), Kay Morgan, Georgia Martin, Rebecca Dickson (Charlie)Donna Buckingham (Wayne), and Donna Pope (Leroy), and brothers Bill Morgan, Cecil Morgan (Patricia), Michael Morrison, Ronnie Morrison (Pearlie), Kendrick Morrison and Thelonious Morrison.
