Private family services are pending for Elaine Goodman Lowery, 73, of Douglass. Elaine passed away Friday, January 17, 2020 in Nacogdoches. She was born March 12, 1946 in Nacogdoches, Texas to Oscar B Goodman and Lella Faye Smith Goodman. She had lived most of her life in Douglass and had worked for 30 years as a registered nurse in Tyler, Lufkin and Nacogdoches. Elaine was a Seventh Day Adventist and enjoyed gardening and crocheting. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Dr. Tom Goodman. She is survived by husband Neil Lowery of Douglass, daughter Laura Renee Gilbert of Ireland, brother Benny Goodman (Juli) of Fayetteville, N.C., sisters Doris Crockett (Jerry) of Tyler and Pat Samares of Douglass, 3 step sons, 7 step grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
