Obituary

Funeral services for Edna Lucile Pyle, 93, of Alto will be Saturday, March 7th at 10 AM at the Weches Baptist Church with Rev. Davey Hobson officiating. Burial will follow in the Weches Cemetery. There will be a visitation time starting at 9 AM Saturday at the church. Edna passed away Sunday, March 1st at her home in Alto. She was born March 9,1932 in the Central High community outside of Alto to Iveson J. Mynard and Zona Lanier Mynard. Edna moved to Houston when she was 18 where she worked for Texas Commerce Bank as a bookkeeper for over 30 years. She was married to her husband Royce for 66 years. She was a member of the Houston Chapter of the Eastern Star. She and her husband Royce moved back to East Texas in 1994. Edna loved cooking, collecting cookbooks, gardening and growing flowers. She enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and never took life for granted. Edna was preceded by her son Kenny and husband Royce Pyle. She is survived by her daughter Debra Palla and husband Rodney, grandchildren Wesley Palla and Lindsey Mayton and 3 great grandchildren. Pallbearers are Wesley Palla, Bob Mayton, Justin Lovell, Mick Pyle, Kenny Pyle and Joe Pyle. Memorials may be made to Weches Cemetery, Weches Baptist Church or Heart to Heart Hospice in Nacogdoches.
