Funeral services for Francis Earlene Booker Skelton, 83, of Lufkin will be held at 11 a.m Saturday, Jan. 16, 2016 at Landmark Baptist Church in Cushing, with the Rev. David Snelson officiating. Interment will follow at Sacul Cemetery. Mrs. Skelton was born on Sept. 2, 1932, in Nacogdoches and passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2016, in Lufkin. Mrs. Skelton grew up in Cushing, and graduated from Cushing High School in 1949. She attended Stephen F. Austin State College and later business school in Lufkin. She moved to Dallas in 1963 where she worked as manager for Holiday Inn Central. Mrs. Skelton later managed Royal Coach Hotels in Dallas, Atlanta and California. In 1975, she married the love of her life, Clarence Skelton. They enjoyed fishing, golfing and traveling together, and spent many wonderful years living on their beloved ranch in Princeton, Texas. In 1991, after Clarences death, she moved to Lufkin and managed Crown Colony Club Villas for many years. Mrs. Skelton is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Beryl Booker of Clear Lake City; sister and brother-in-law, Joy and Bruce Richards of Cushing; nieces, Donna and husband, Kevan Webb, Monica Rosowski, and Dawn Laird; great-nephews, Riley Webb and Kyle Richards Ross; and great-nieces Melanie Rosowski and Anna Rosowski. She was preceded in death by her father, Lowell Booker; mother, Maurine Pitman Booker; nephew, Rodney Richards; and niece, Donna Strahan. Pallbearers are Terry Booker, Joe Gunter, Wayne Pittman, Kyle Richards Ross, Clyde Smith, Don Taylor, Kevan Webb and Riley Webb. Memorial contributions may be made to Landmark Baptist Church, P.O.
