Funeral services for Doyle Edward Creel, 64, of Rusk, will be Friday, February 7, at the O.T. Allen & Son Funeral Home in Alto at 10 AM, with Bro. Rex Hoot officiating. Burial will follow at the Old Palestine Cemetery in Alto. Mr. Creel passed away Monday, February 3, in Rusk. He was born August 19, 1955 in Pasadena, Texas to Billy Carroll Creel and Letha Fay Atkinson Creel. Doyle had lived in Rusk for many years and was a member of the Oakland Missionary Baptist Church. He had worked many years as a truck driver and loved fishing and riding horses. Doyle was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Carroll Wayne Creel and Billy Ray Creel, sisters Jeanie Creel and Mary Tobias and grandsons Dilynn Edward Creel and Jace William Creel. He is survived by son Edward Lee Creel (Brittney) of Pollok, daughter Melissa Ann Pedroza of Victoria, brother Jerry Lee Creel (Sheila) of Rusk, sister Delores June Key (Bubba) of Rusk, grandchildren Logan, Ashley, Elizabeth, John, Rudi and Mia, and great grandson Clayton. Pallbearers will be Edward Creel, Jerry Creel, Daniel Wayne Creel, Michael Creel, Shorty Jackson and Boyd Swearingen. Visitation is Thursday, Feb. 6, from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
