Donald Mark West, 64, of Cushing, Texas passed away July 18, 2021. Don was born August 16, 1956 in Chattreaux, France to AF Veteran Dwight Russell West and Bobbie Jean Mullens.

Don proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Petty Officer 2nd Class (Engine Man). He was also a successful Hydraulic Engineer, and world traveler.  He had many passions; cooking, story telling, Everything Texas, guns, BBQ, and I was reminded he is John Wayne's #1 fan. Most of all, he loved his whole family.

He rejoins loved ones who preceded him in death; his parents, his beloved son Donald Mark West, Jr., and his brother David Lee West. He is survived by daughters Kerrie Huisel and Jessica Perry of Phoenix,  Grandchildren Nicholas & Courtney Huisel, Peyton West, Faith & Rudy Perry, and Great Grand children Kara, Kashton, and Rudy V.

Donald also has an extended family who he loved dearly. His amor Amparo West, Fannie Newton his sister by choice, Nieces; Catherine Aristizabal, Natalie Osorio, Valentina Orosio, and Sophia Espitia. Nephews; Armando and Alex Deschamps, David and Daniel Espito, Anthony and Marcus Ruth, Diego Duje, and many others.

And he had a great many wonderful friends; Rocio Tovar, Henry Rincon,  Yvonne & Kelly Kuranda, Kent Klawitter,  Dani Egan and many others.

Donald West thrived on the exchange of interesting (provocative or radical or creative) ideas with his family and friends. All of his family would say he was committed to helping everyone achieve their highest potential. He will be greatly missed.
