Dennis “Keith” Ross

A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday August 8th, 2026 at 11am at Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Mt  Enterprise with Rev. Underwood officiating.

Dennis “Keith” Ross, 53, passed away on July 18, 2026. He was born on May 13, 1973 in Jacksonville, Tx, to Jasper Benjamin “Ben” Ross and Mary Alice “Butch” Evans. Keith was born on Mother’s Day and often joked that he was his Mother’s Mother’s Day gift.

Keith spent much of his life working as a directional driller, where he earned a reputation as one of the best in his field. His knowledge, work ethic, and willingness to take on the toughest jobs made him highly respected by coworkers and employers alike.

Outside of work, Keith found his greatest joy in the outdoors. Whether he was hunting, fishing, or simply spending time with those he loved, he was happiest surrounded by family and friends. Keith wasn’t a man of many words, but those who knew him understood that if you needed him, all you had to do was call. He would do anything he could to help someone he loved, often putting others before himself.

Keith was preceded in death by his father, Jasper Benjamin “Ben” Ross, Mother, Mary Alice “Butch” Evans ; his brothers, Rodney Ross, Mark Ross, Niece Shannon Risinger; and many beloved family members who welcomed him home.

He leaves behind his devoted wife, Memory; his daughter, Cheyenne; his sons, Devon, Chase, and Jasper, Grandchildren, Marie, Ivy and Kara; Stepdad, Jimmie Wayne Evans along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will forever cherish his memory.

Keith’s love for his family was unwavering, and while his absence leaves an immeasurable void, his loyalty and generous heart will continue to live on through those who knew and loved him.

Keith lived life on his own terms. He wasn’t a perfect man, but he was a real one. He loved fiercely, worked harder than most, and never hesitated to lend a hand to someone he cared about. His family was his greatest pride, and the memories made around campfires, fishing holes, crawfish boils, family gatherings, and countless conversations will be remembered long after his passing. Those who knew Keith will remember his determination, his willingness to help, and the love he carried for the people who mattered most.
