Graveside funeral services for David Ray Sartain, 56, of Rusk will be Tuesday at 10 AM in the Russell Cemetery near Rusk with Rev. Jackie Yates officiating. David passed away Wednesday August 2. He was born November 18, 1966 in Tyler Texas to James David "Bo" Sartain and Virginia McCarty Sartain. He lived most of his life in Rusk and was a carpenter. David was Baptist and loved antiques and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Patty, niece Kayla and nephew Shane. David is survived by daughters Heather Sartain and husband Jamie Whitaker and Shelby Rodgers, sons Jayme Sartain and wife Paula, Colton Sartain and Colby Sartain, sisters Sandy Yates and husband Jackie, Nancy McCarley, Tammy Liles and husband Tommy and Debbie Grandorff, grandchildren Aryanna, Levi, Wyatt, Jameson, Grayson, Gabriella and Piper, special nephews Brandon Smith, Cody Smith and Jacob Hailey as well as numerous other nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be nephews Jacob Hailey, Jonathan Yates, B.J. Yates, Nathan Yates, Ethan Yates, Brandon Smith, Cody Smith and Chad McCarley. Honorary pallbearers are Cory Mitchell and David Gentry. No visitation is scheduled, but there will be a Memorial Service held Saturday, August 26, at Westside Baptist Church 3109 Durst Street in Nacogdoches.Visitation will begin at 10 AM with services starting at 11 AM.
