David Lee Casey, 77, of Cushing passed away August 11, 2021 in Nacogdoches, Texas. David Lee Casey was born July 22, 1944 to David McGregor and Anna Casey in Baytown, Texas. He grew up in a loving home with 6 siblings. David married the love of his life, Mary Sue Sears, August 19, 1967. Their union only ceased upon his death. They were married for fifty-three years. He had three children from which numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren filled his life. He was a hard worker where his sense of structure and discipline drove him to excel. He worked as a pipefitter for over 40 years in Houston. David was a member of Pipefitters Union, Local 211 and received his gold 50-year membership pin. He loved to hunt and fish. But particularly enjoyed fishing with his grandchildren or even sitting on the porch with them. David also loved his John Wayne movies. He had a passion for gardening and was known for his tomatoes. He also grew corn, peas, okra, and even blueberries. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Marvin Casey, Jimmy Casey, sisters Betty "Sister" Casey, Shirley Bankston and Merlene Casey. He his survived by his wife Mary, son Shane Casey and Deborah Lynn Harris and son Donovan of Huntsville, daughters Leah and husband Jody Enmon and children Dillon, Jordon, and Virgil of Cushing, and Angela Denise Allen and husband Glenn and their children Craig, Jason, Jesse, and Shelley of Tarkington; and brother Mitchell Casey of Missouri. He is also survived my numerous other grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be missed by family, friends, and loved ones.
