Funeral services for Cheryl Thomas Black, 74, of Alto will be Wednesday, November 10,  at 2 PM in the O.T. Allen & Son Funeral Chapel with Stanley Roberts officiating. Burial will be in the Shiloh Cemetery. There will be a visitation time from 1 PM until service time Wednesday. Cheryl passed away Sunday, November 7, 2021 in Alto. She was born April 7, 1947 in Jacksonville to Martin D. Thomas and Virginia Norwood Thomas. Cheryl lived most of her life in Alto and was a homemaker. She was also the author of two published novels and enjoyed fishing. Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson Tyler Black. She is survived by husband Harrison Holcomb Black, sons and daughters-in-law Stacy and Kori Black, Ty and Elsa Black, sister Marsha Smith and grandchildren Lindsey Black, Tessa Black, Iris Salazar, Emily Black and Rachel Black.
