Knott, 72, of Alto will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, September 18, 2016, at the Alto Missionary Baptist Church in Alto, Texas with Rev. Charles Williams and Rev. Bruce Robinson officiating. Burial will be held in the Old Palestine Cemetery under the direction of O.T. Allen and Son Funeral Directors. Mrs. Knott passed away Friday, September 16, 2016, in Nacogdoches, Texas. She was born March 4, 1944 near Alto, Texas to Horace Montgomery & Grace Costello Montgomery. She lived all her life in Alto and was a homemaker who enjoyed hunting and fishing with her husband. Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, son George L. Knott Jr., daughter Charlotte Knot and great grandson Elvis Preston Musick. She is survived by husband George L. Knott Sr., daughter Georgia Knott, brothers Charles Montgomery (Dell), Sherrill Montgomery (Charlotte), grandchildren Krystal Anthony (Robert) and Jewel Musick (Jack) as well as 6 great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Anthony Montgomery, Jerry Bruce, Joe Hodges, Keith Hodges, Jerry Knott Jr. and William Hunt.
