Memorial services for Charles "Chuck" Hoffpauir Jr., 55, of Cushing are pending until his daughter Casey Rae and new granddaughter Victoria Alice are able to travel. Chuck passed away Saturday, March 9th, in Cushing. He was born August 17th, 1963 in Beaumont, Texas. Chuck lived in Cushing for the last 16 years and worked as a Night Operations Manager at Lowe's in Nacogdoches. Chuck was preceded in death by his brother Randall Hoffpauir. Chuck is survived by wife, Sherri Hoffpauir, who he was married to for 31 years. He is also survived by his daughter and son-in-law Casey Rae and James Schauer (currently living in Georgia),  mother and dad, Diane and Paul Lynas, of Rockwall, sister and brother-in-law, Lisa (Sis) and Billy Rose of Houston, brother and sister-in-law Greg and Marisa Lynas of Garland and granddaughter, Victoria Alice Schauer, born 02/22/19.

Chuck was known by his community as the man they could call on for advice with home maintenance and home improvement. Chuck was a hard worker and worked with integrity and dedication. He loved his country and was passionate about respecting the flag and what it stood for.

Chuck loved his wife and daughter beyond measure and lit up with joy when talking about them. Chuck described himself and Sherri as "fish out of water" when their daughter left home but bursted with pride at the young woman she had become. Chuck was so excited about the birth of his first grandchild, Victoria Alice and although he never had the chance to meet her, and we do not understand the timing, we trust in God and know that he has a plan.
