Funeral services for Charlene Mitchell, 60, of Alto will be Wednesday December 26th at the Hwy 69 Church of Christ in Alto. Visitation will be held prior to services also at the church. Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery in Alto. Mrs. Mitchell died Wednesday Dec. 19th in Tyler, Texas. She was born October 3rd, 1958 in Rusk, Texas to Lonzo and Laura Mae Johnson Hicks. She is preceded in death by her mother , son Terrence Mitchell, granddaughter Taniya, and sister Shirley Hicks. She is survived by her father Lonzo Hicks of Alto, daughter and son-in-law Shaneka and Paul Clark of Alto, son Terronce Mitchell of Rusk, brothers and sisters-in-law Johnny Ray Hicks of Rusk, Charles Ray and Jenell Hicks of Rusk, and Bobby Marie Hicks of Rusk, and Thomas and Shinita Hicks of Rusk, sister Christine Hicks and Husband Perry of Rusk, grandchildren Sha'tavia, Desmond, Jaylon, and Chasity, great grandchild Damarion, and forever friend Earl Mitchell. She is also suvived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
