Carroll Ray Maddux, 86, of Lufkin and formerly of Alto passed away Sunday, December 4, 2022 In Lufkin. Carroll Ray was born December 16,1935 in Alto, Texas to Collier Leo Maddux and Ruby Smith Maddux. He had lived in Lufkin for the last few years and had lived in Beaumont for 27 years and Alto for 30 years. Carroll Ray was a U.S. Army veteran and had worked for Mobil Chemical for 27 years in Beaumont. He was a top athlete in high school and enjoyed fishing. He was preceded in death by his sons James Maddux and Hughes Maddux. Carroll Ray is survived by wife Sandra Lovett Maddux of Lufkin, daughter Kimberly Ptacek and husband Ray of Nederland and grandchildren Morgan Ptacek of Nederland, Katherine Beaver and husband Kaleb and great grandson, Bryan Beaver of Groves.
