Graveside funeral services for Carol Jean Rozell, 86, of Douglass will be Thursday, April 8, at 2 PM at the Old Palestine Cemetery in Alto with Rev. Odis Bryan officiating. There will be a visitation from 1-2 PM at the cemetery. Mrs. Rozell passed away Sunday, April 4, in Douglass. She was born May 10, 1934 in Rosebud, Texas to A.J. Tardy and Pauline Wise Tardy. She had lived in Alto for many years and lived in Douglass for the last 22 years. Carol worked as the City Administrator in Alto for many years and had been a member of the First Baptist Church in Alto. She was preceded in death by her parents and by 4 brothers and a sister. She is survived by husband Everett Rozell of Douglass, sons Tommy McClure of Douglass, Gary McClure of Pasadena and Larry McClure of Jacksonville, daughter Dede Rozell of Douglass, brother Jimmy Tardy of Alto and 7 grandchildren. Pallbearers are Ermon Gipson, Charles Bingham, Wes Graham, Tommy McClure, Thomas McClure, Gary McClure, Timothy McClure, Larry McClure and Randy Tardy.
