Funeral services for Bonnie Rae Vertrees, 88, of Nacogdoches, will be Saturday, December 5, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Dickie Allen Funeral Home in Cushing, Texas. Internment will be at Blue Springs Cemetery in Etoile, Texas.

Bonnie Rae Vertrees passed away Wednesday, December 2, 2020 in Nacogdoches, Texas. She was born in Nacogdoches, Texas January 31, 1932. She lived in numerous places including Corpus Christie, Texas, Norfolk Virginia, and Newfoundland, Canada. She was a realtor most of her life. Among the many activities she enjoyed, she loved to quilt and paint.

She was preceded in death by parents Floyd and Thelma Rogers; her husband, Cleon Lacy Vertrees; brothers, Jimmy Lee Rogers and Larry Elvis Rogers; sisters, Florine Rogers Harvey, Ola Faye Moore, and Mary Diane Y'Barbo.

She is survived by her brothers Calvin Chester Rogers of Riverside, Texas and Charles Rogers of Douglass, Texas; and her sister Iva Nell Morton of Cushing, Texas; and, numerous nieces and nephews.

Rusty Hogg, Mitchell Hogg, Emily Hogg, Victor Holloway, Brad Morton, and Nick Y' Barbo will serve as her pallbearers.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service in the Dickie Allen Funeral Home chapel.
