Bonnie Houston, 81, of Denson Springs, passed away, Tuesday, July 20 in Palestine. She was born July 10, 1940 in Odessa, Texas to Marshall Hervey Fox and Estelle Mae Daffern Fox. Bonnie had lived in East Texas since 1972 and had attended the Percilla Community Church. She was a Registered Nurse and worked at numerous hospitals and nursing homes around Crockett and Rusk, including Rusk State Hospital, often serving as director of nursing. She and husband Jimmy owned and operated Houston Health Care in Alto for several years. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jimmy Houston, 4 sisters, 1 brother, grandchildren Sable Simms Rider and Gabe Phillips and great grandson Trevor Gauge Lankford. Bonnie is survived by daughters Belinda "Lindy" Clayton (Robert) of Alto, Brenda Owens (Tim) of Grapeland, son Mike Osborn (Lori) of Alto, sister Cheryle Fox Stack of Pennsylvania, 16 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Private family memorial services are pending. Memorials can be made to the Wounded Warrior Foundation.
