Graveside services for Bobby Joe Whitehead, Sr., 81, of Cushing will be 2 PM Saturday, June 12 at Sacul Cemetery with Bro. Gene Tatum officiating. Bobby Joe Whitehead, Sr. passed away in Cushing on June 11, 2021. Bobby Joe Whitehead, Sr. was born to James Luther and Bessie Whitehead in Big Rock on April 4, 1940. Mr. Whitehead moved in 1996 from Houston to Cushing to retire. Bobby was married to his wife Nancy for 59 1/2 years. He was a machinist in the construction industry. He was a member of the Covenant Church in Rusk, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Michael Wayne Whitehead, his infant brother Charles Ray Whitehead, brothers James Dale Whitehead and Hubert Glen Whitehead; sisters Wanda Krase and Lois Moss; and, great grandson Aiden Whitehead. He is survived by his wife Nancy, sons Bobby Joe Whitehead, Jr. of Cushing, Richard Allen Whitehead and wife Darlene of Conroe, and Stephen Ray Whitehead of Houston; daughter, Patrisha Kay Whitehead of Cushing, daughter-in-law Linda Garcia Whitehead of Forney; sisters, Carrie Shoppe and husband Terry of Lilbert, and Jerry Ann Indelicato of Conroe. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren including grandsons Justin Whitehead, Thomas Whitehead, Bobby Whitehead, III, Richard Whitehead, Jr., Michael Whitehead, Jr., Joshua Whitehead, David Salinas, Johnathan Whitehead, and Christopher Whitehead; granddaughters Jessica Whitehead, Stephanie Whitehead, Megan Whitehead, Cristina Kolbe and Erica White; also 14 great grandchildren with 2 on the way.

Pallbearers include: Thomas Whitehead, Bobby Whitehead, III, Michael Whitehead, Joshua Whitehead, Johnathan Whitehead, Christopher Whitehead, and Seth Faulkner.
