Memorial services for Bobby Jean Sowell, 85, of Alto will be Saturday April 22nd at 2pm at A.Frank Smith UMC in Alto. There will be a visitation at the funeral home Friday April 21st from 6-8pm. Mrs. Sowell died Sunday, April 9th, in Rusk. She was born December 5th, 1931 in Alto to Arthur Jewel Ramey and Verna Corise Mynard Ramey. Bobby was a member of A. Frank Smith United Methodist Church in Alto for over 67 years and was Sunday School Superintendent for 30 years. She had worked at Shattuck Insurance Agency and Johnson Insurance Agency for about 30 years and worked for Cherokee County Co-op for many years as a young woman. She was preceded in death by her parents and by husband John Sowell. Bobby is survived by daughters Cynthia Carroll (J.C.) and Brenda Martin (Charles) and by son Greg Sowell (Julie), grandchildren Missy Tobias (Joey), Malei Carter, Clutch Schneider (Kristal) and Natalie Waters, Samantha Harrison (Rob), Eric Wilder (Jennifer), and great grandchildren Jace Tobias, Jalyn Tobias, Trey Carter, Isaac Carter, Rheagan Schneider, Ryane Schneider, Adalyn Waters and Jonathan Waters, Gordon Wilder, Louella Wilder.
