Obituary

Bobby Jack "Bob" Priest Alto – Graveside funeral services for Bobby Jack "Bob" Priest, 85, of Alto and formerly of Huntsville will be Thursday, December 21st, at 11am at the Alto City Cemetery with Rev. Ryan Stratton officiating. No visitation is scheduled. Mr. Priest died Monday in Jacksonville. He was born June 14, 1933 in Smithville, Texas. Bob spent his younger days working in radio broadcast and was an accomplished musician, playing acoustic and steel guitars. He shared the stage with many great musicians including Ray Price and Glen Campbell. He lived in Huntsville for many years and retired from TDCJ where he had been a psychologist. Bob was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Forrest # 19 in Huntsville. He was preceded in death by his wife of 38 years, Martha Priest and grandmother Laura Adel.

He is survived by daughters and son-in-law Paula Low (Randy) of Alto, Texas, Sandra Ybarra of Arlington, Texas, and Lisa Taylor of Huntsville, Texas; sister Carol Faldik (George) of Houston, cousins, Kathryn Psencik and Marilyn Wood, Grandchildren Aaron (Amanda), Amber (D.J.), Lance, Adam (Tori), Evan, Parker, Jerica, Lucas, and Rachel; and 6 great grandchildren with one on the way. Pallbearers will be son-in-laws and grandsons.
