Alto – Funeral services for Blondria Dee Griffin-Mumphrey, 55, of Alto will be Thursday June 13th at 2pm at the River of Life Church in Alto. Interment to follow at New Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6-8pm at O.T. Allen & Son Funeral Home.

Mrs. Griffin-Mumphrey died Thursday June 6th in Jacksonville. She was born February 19th, 1964 in Rusk, Texas to Troy Griffin and Mary Lee Buckingham Griffin. She was a member of Union Hill Baptist Church. Mrs. Griffin-Mumphrey worked at Rusk State Hospital for many years. She was also a cook at Toby's Restaurant and Lindsey's Restaurant as well as other eateries around Alto. Mrs. Griffin Mumphrey is preceded in death by her grandparents Buster and Pearline Buckingham and Morris and Samantha Griffin, her parents Troy and Mary Griffin, brother Shelton Griffin, and sister Debbie Griffin.

She is survived by her husband Felton Mumphrey of Alto,  brother and sister-in-law Kerry and Alissa Griffin of Alto, Texas; sister and brother-in-law Pam and Michael Mumphrey of Nacogdoches, Texas and nieces and nephews Mesha Townsend, Ambriana Griffin, Kyleigh Griffin, Abbie Griffin, Malcolm Mumphrey, Michael Mumphrey, Emmanuel Griffin, Jonathan "Jr." Simpson, and Noah Jenkins, aunts and uncles Edward Griffin (Mary), Tommy Griffin (Brenda), Donnie Griffin, Martha Hinton (Lonnie), Ms. Jackie Brown, Ms. Rose Buckingham, Melvin Buckingham, Nathaniel Buckingham and David Buckingham.

Pallbearers are Malcolm Mumphrey, Michael Mumphrey Jr., Javonttie Mumphrey, Ronterall Mumphrey, Demetric Buckingham, Ricky Brown & Xavier Jackson. Honorary pallbearers are Edward Griffin, Tommy Griffin, Donnie Griffin, Jerry Brown, David Buckingham, Melvin Buckingham, Nathaniel Buckingham and Melvin Mumphery.
