Cushing-Funeral services for Billy Mack Jernigan, 79, of Sacul will be Friday July 12, at 10 am at the Dickie Allen Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Bill Garner and Rev. A.F. Jernigan officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Center. Mr. Jernigan passed away Tuesday, July 9, in Tyler. He was born May 9, 1940 in Center, Texas to Manuel Mark Jernigan and Melba Lenora Sanford Jernigan. Billy had lived in Reklaw for many years and was a Baptist. Billy was a U.S. Air Force veteran and had worked as an electrician. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Joe, O'Neal, Wayne and Tommy Jernigan and sister Marie Shelton. He is survived by long time companion Peggy Brown of Jacksonville, daughter Jana Marie Jernigan-Gough, brother Arvie F. Jernigan (Pat) of Troup grandchildren Billy Gough and Cobe Gough and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Pallbearers will be Danny Jernigan, Stevie Jernigan, Dakota Jernigan, Mark Jernigan, Dean Jernigan and Reggie Wise. Honorary pallbearers are Robert Button, Carl Collinsworth and Ken Ryan. Visitation will be Friday morning from 9 am until service time.
