Alto – Funeral services for Billy J. Etheridge, 79, of Alto will be Friday June 2nd at 10 AM at the O.T. Allen & Son Funeral Home in Alto with Rev. D.R. McNaughton and Rev. T.L. Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at the Old Palestine Cemetery near Alto.

He was born March 11th, 1938 in Alabama to Percy and Della Kendrick Etheridge. Mr. Etheridge lived in Alto for 43 years, grew up in Alabama and also lived in Houston for a few years. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, worked as a welder and fabricator and served as a traveling evangelist for full gospel church's. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughters Terrie Headley and Debra Helpenstill and granddaughter Tiffany Headley. Mr. Etheridge is survived by wife Sandra Etheridge of Alto, grandchildren Leeann Bailey (Brandon), Jeffery Helpenstill (Stephanie) and Chris Headley (Katy), great grandchildren Zachery B., Cassidy, Zachary H., Lohla, Rylee, Greyson and Gavin. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be Thursday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
