Cushing-Funeral services for Billy "Bob" Brown, 75, of Quitman will be Friday at 1pm at the Dickie Allen Funeral Home in Cushing officiated by Pastor David Harris. The family will receive visitors from 12pm to 1pm prior to services at the funeral home. Mr. Brown died Tuesday in Tyler. He was born November 25th, 1941 in Turkey Creek, Tx to Daniel Burlen and Bertie Dean Lawyer Brown. He married Linda Gilbert Brown June 4th, 1960. They were married for 56 years. He worked at the Tandy Leather company and later moved to Quitman, where he lived for 9 years. He was a member of Boulevard Baptist Church for 19 years. He loved his family, fishing, and working in his woodshop. He loved working with his hands. He liked to stay busy. When he was not working he loved to read westerns, but there were only two authors that he liked. One of which being Louis L''Amour. He is survived by his wife Linda Brown, Son Billy Horton Brown, Grandson David Brown, Granddaughter Destinee Brown, Sister Sue Klapp, Sister-in-law: Betty Soto, three Brothers-in-law James Gilbert, John Gilbert, and Bobby Gilbert, and several Nieces and Nephews.
