Memorial services for Billy Wayne Boozer, 62, of Winona and formerly of Douglass will be Saturday, October 16th, at 2 PM at the O.T. Allen & Son Funeral Chapel in Alto. Billy was born September 23, 1958 in Leesville, Louisiana to Lynette Grimes and Ralph Wayne Boozer. He passed away peacefully on September 21, 2021, at his home after a short battle with cancer, with his mother by his side. Billy was raised and attended school in Douglass, Texas. He was in construction nearly all his life and loved to hunt. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends. He especially enjoyed making his Sunday calls. Billy is survived by daughter Tonya Boozer of Tyler, mother Lynette Goodner of Winona, father Wayne Boozer of Douglass and friend Mary Small. He is also survived by special lifelong friends that he considered family; David Franklin, Carrie and Curt Marsh, Little Curt Marsh, Karen and Jerry Mooman, Monica and Ronnie Mooman, Theresa Pollard, Glenda Randall and many other friends. Billy was preceded in death by father Billy W. Goodner, maternal grandparents Vergie and Charlie Grimes, maternal grandparents Fern and Gene Boozer, and uncles Charles Grimes and wife Verble and Fred Grimes and wife Inez.
