Funeral services for Beulah Faye Hackney, 76, of Lufkin and formerly of Alto will be Saturday, July 20, at 2 PM in the New Hope Baptist church in Alto. Burial will follow at the New Hope Cemetery. Beulah passed away Tuesday, July 16, in Lufkin. She was born in Alto, Texas on November 22, 1947 to George Robert Hackney and Jethro Mae Bass Hackney. Beulah grew up in Alto and later moved to Lufkin where she lived for many years. She was a graduate of Alto High School and a member of the Union Hill Baptist Church.  Beulah was preceded in death by parents Jethro Hackney Skinner and  George Robert Hackney, sister Ella M. Thacker and brothers Mathis Earl Hackney, Rockland Denorris Hackney and Kelvin Hackney. She is survived by brothers Robert Hackney and Larry Hackney of Alto and sisters Gloria Hackney and Vanessa Hackney of Lufkin as well as numerous nieces and nephews. There will be a viewing/visitation from 4-6 PM Friday at the funeral home in Alto.
