There will be a small private graveside service for Betty Hunt, 77, of Mixon for immediate family only. Nathaniel Whisman will officiate and John Layne will speak. There will be a visitation from 6-8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home in Alto. Mrs. Hunt passed away Sunday, April 4, in Tyler. She was born August 18, 1943 in Rusk, Texas to Ollie Wendeborn and Irene Bell Wendeborn. Mrs. Hunt had lived in the Mixon community for many years and had lived in San Antonio for 7 years. She was a homemaker and a Christian and loved quilting, embroidery, puzzles, gardening, her flower beds, fishing and her grandkids.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Norma Jean Middleton. Betty is survived by husband Preston "Butch" Hunt of Mixon, daughter Tracey Hunt of Rusk, son and daughter-in-law Michael and Nicole Hunt of Henderson, sister Pearlie Blanton of Alto, brother Jim Wendeborn of Alto, grandchildren Amber Welch, Cody Welch, Keith Hunt, Tammy Birdwell, Justin Hunt, Ryan Hunt, Amy Hunt, Halee Whisman and M'Kayla Vasquez and great grandchildren Murphee Whisman and Kynleigh Locklear. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
