Funeral services for Betty Ann Atkerson, 79, of Rusk, Texas will be Tuesday October 27th at 10am at the O.T. Allen & Son Chapel. Interment will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Wells. Visitation will be Monday October 26th also at the funeral home from 6-8pm. Mrs. Atkerson was born January 22nd, 1941 in Corrigan, Texas to Joseph Benjamin and Ethel White Grindle. She died Saturday October 24th in Rusk, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Roy Atkerson, daughters Vivian Hodges, and Nelda Scroggins, sons Charles Taylor and Bobby Taylor, brothers Joe Grindle and John Grindle, sister Judy Wilson. She is survived by her son Cleo Acrey, daugthers Becky Durrett, Kathy Christie, Joy Lofton, Betty Proctor, Crystal Elder, brother Rusty Grindle, and sister-in-law Thelma Grindle; as well as 18 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
