Obituary

Funeral services for Bessie Mae Parker, 99, of Alto will be Friday September 24th, at 11am at Weeping Mary Baptist Church near Alto. Interment will be at St. Thomas Chapel Cemetery. There will be an open visitation at O.T. Allen & Son Funeral Home on Thursday September 23rd, from 12pm to 5pm. Mrs. Parker was born February 22nd, 1922 in Alto, Texas to Felix and Eula Rae Ross. She was a lifetime resident of Alto, Texas and a member of Weeping Mary Baptist Church. She loved fishing, sewing, talking, and singing. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband G.W. Parker, and seven siblings. She is survived by her children Emmie Martin, James Earl Parker, George Parker, Jr., Ella Payton, Ellie Washington, Carroll Parker, Janice Martin, Willie Parker, and Harvey Parker; sister Bertha Skinner; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
