A private family memorial is pending for Barbara Ann Crosby, 78, of Alto. Barbara was born November 10, 1945, in West Columbia, Texas to Ted R. Fite and Lenora Hargett Fite. She was raised in Sweeney and graduated from Sweeney High School in 1964. Barbara lived most of her life in Alto and ran a child Daycare from her home for many years. She had also worked for Jordan Ambulance Service for a few years. Barbara loved going to garage sales, tending to her flower beds and spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, and love of her life, Don Crosby. She was also preceded by brother Sonny Fite, sister Peggy Matchett and very special friend Edward Tucker. Barbara is survived by sons Don Crosby Jr. and wife Dee of Jacksonville, Steven Crosby and wife Ranita of Rusk and daughter Sheri Murphy and husband Marshall of Baytown, sisters Pat and Genie, grandchildren Dustin, Logan, Kyle, Lindsey, Ashlea, Kelley, Julia, Ransom, Laney, Trinity, Chayce and Charly as well as great grandchildren Bentley, Baillee, Alice, Ava, Mason, Conley, Rylee, Aurora and Roper.
