Obituary

Was born on December 30,1941 to Arlie Roy Bice Sr. and Henrietta ((Hank) Bice.  Arlie passed away on Nov. 1, 2024.

He was preceded in death by parents A. R.Bice Sr and Henry Etta (Wiggins) Bice, daughter Yvette Renee (Bice) Jung, sister Louetta Faye (Bice) Cates and his beloved wife Sharon Ann (Mitchell) Bice.  He is survived by his son Arlie Roy Bice III, his granddaughter Caitlin Ann Lanette (Bice) Edwards, and great grandson Oliver Edwards.

Arlie Jr was a veteran, first in the U.S. Navy followed by three tours in Vietnam as a radio operator for both Marine as well as U.S. Army units.

Arlie loved being outdoors.  He shared this love with many young men as a leader in the Boy Scout program.  Arlie was a voracious reader and loved talking with others about history, literature, and philosophy.  To the end he lived out a saying that many of us heard him say throughout life, "Give out maybe, give up…never."

His faith and trust were in Jesus Christ and he lived his life as a man of God.

"But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers and sisters, about those who have died, so that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have died."

(1 Thessalonians 4:13-14)
