Allen & Son Funeral Home- Alto, Texas- (936)858-4111 Alto - funeral services for Annie Viola "Anola" French, 82, of Houston and formerly of Alto will be at the O.T. Allen & Son Funeral Home chapel. Burial will follow at the Old Palestine Cemetery in Alto. Mrs. French died Wednesday in The Woodlands. She was born October 15, 1933 in Alto, Texas to John Smith and Bertha Cannon Smith. She resided in Houston, Tx most of her life after graduating from Alto High School. She was a homemaker and also worked as a bus driver and crossing guard for the Alief School district. She is preceded in death by her parents, sons, Bobby "Little Bobby" French Jr. and Stevie French, sister, Dorothy McDaniel, brother, John Bill Smith, and Great-Grandson Dylan. Survivors include: Husband Bobby French Sr. of Houston, Daughters and son-in-law, Marilyn Kaye Smith (Jeff) of Tomball and Ann Yvonne French of Houston, Sister and brother-in-law, Mary Grace Simms (Jimmy) of Nacogdoches and brother Douglass M. Smith of Galveston, 4 grandchildren; Chris (wife, Jennifer), James (wife, Audrey), Jon (wife, Cassandra), and Rianne; 12 great grandchildren; Kate, Evelyn, Anna, Andrew, Dylan, Aiden, Evan, Sean, Joshua, Madilyn, Christian, and Kaitlyn
