Graveside services for Alvon Andrew Hammons Jr., 69, will be held at the Hendrick Cemetery near Rusk, Texas with Rev. Don Copeland and Trent Stuart officiating. Mr. Hammons died December 13, 2018 in Tyler, Texas. He was born September 3, 1949 in Crockett, Texas to Alvon Andrew Hammons Sr. & Carrie Alice Collins Hammons. Mr. Hammons was a welder and a U.S. Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, a son, a daughter and wife Lawanna Hammons. Mr. Hammons is survived by children Patricia Brotherton of Lufkin, Joe Hammons (Donna) of Rusk and Ashla Soignet (Roger) of Pollock, brother James Hammons Sr. of Rusk, sister Alice Fay Wield of San Antonio, grandchildren Stephen, Jeffry, Cody, A.J., Harley, Amber, Trinity, Amber, Brandon, David, Miranda, J.J., Andria, Chris, Casey, Kaylee, Bradley, Cody, and William; as well as several nieces and nephews.
