A memorial service for Alethia Delynn Hackett, 47, of Nacogdoches and formerly of Alto, will be held Saturday, September 13, 2025 at the Simpson Chapel Baptist Church in the Tadmore community at 11:00 AM with Rev. Lionel Whitaker officiating. Alethia passed away Monday, September 1, in Nacogdoches. She was born March 24, 1978 in Rusk, Texas to Johnnie R. Martin and Janice Parker Martin. Alethia had lived most of her life in Alto and had also lived in Fort Worth and most recently Nacogdoches. She was a graduate of Alto High School in 1997 and a member of the Simpson Chapel Baptist Church. She had worked as a CNA for several years, most recently as a traveling CNA. She loved crafts, singing and fishing. Alethia was preceded in death by her father Johnnie R. Martin and grandparents Essie Mae and G.W. Parker and Clarence and Lavada Martin. She is survived by her mother Janice Martin of Lufkin, sons Ty'Arias and Mikkah Hackett, daughter Tahea Hackett, sisters Amanda Martin, Manasha Martin (Zerrick) and Minerva Martin, grandson Saint Michael Hackett and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
